From the Pastor
If you’ve been following the global news of late you’d be justified in thinking the world seems like a pretty troubled place at the moment. Actually I am not sure if that ever changes very much. However, in spite of whatever is going on in the world, now or any time into the future, I am convinced that no matter what happens, God will walk with us.
Romans 8:38-39 is clear nothing in all creation, including any troubles in the world, will separate us from God. For me that gives me great comfort. I can be secure in knowing that God sees everything that is going on and is present with me.
Psalm 139 reminds us there is nowhere in all of creation you can be that God is not present. God the father is always with us.
Hebrews 7:25 reminds us that Jesus is constantly praying to the father on our behalf. God the Son is always thinking of us.
Romans 8:9-11 reminds us that the spirit whom raised Christ from the dead dwells in us. God the Holy Spirit lives in us.
My prayer for us all is, “In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, in times of trouble, you will know the peace of God that surpasses all understanding”.
The Christian faith is a beautiful thing, we have a rich and deep resource available to us anywhere, anytime. Let’s be the non-anxious presence and the beacon of hope in the room.
